"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" is an American fantasy swashbuckler film directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The film is the second installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, following "The Curse of the Black Pearl" (2003). The movie features an ensemble cast, including Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Geoffrey Rush, and Bill Nighy.
The story takes place a year after the events of the first film. Lord Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander) of the East India Trading Company arrests Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) for aiding Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in his escape. Beckett makes a deal with Will, offering to pardon him and Elizabeth if he can bring back Jack's compass in exchange for Jack's life.
